Yarlington House is an elegant Georgian manor house built of mellow brick in classical style, set in its own grounds of parkland thus giving complete privacy. Although formal in aspect, it is very much a family home lived in by Count and Countess Charles de Salis and their family.
The interior of the house is full of interest (see ‘Inside the House’). The furnishings lend an atmosphere of style and elegance, and space inside allows for a wide variety of events.
The gardens are simply stunning with many features set within a ha-ha (sunken wall). For weddings they make a magical backdrop for memorable photographs and for other events they are a delight simply for roaming in. (see ‘The Gardens’).
The combination of the house and grounds provides an idyllic setting for wedding receptions and the house is licensed for Civil Ceremonies (see ‘Weddings’).

It is equally a perfect backdrop for almost any kind of private or corporate event from cocktail receptions to formal dinners to seminars to exhibitions (see ‘Events’).
Numbers are fairly flexible depending on the format of your event and of course a marquee on the lawn in front of the house can accommodate any number of guests.
The grounds have been used in the past for staging a variety of events. The Threads of Life (a nationally acknowledged embroidery exhibition) has been held there twice using the parkland surrounding the house for nine pavilions and attracting up to ten thousand visitors over a weekend. The Garden Opera Company uses it regularly for performing to audiences of 450 in a marquee on the lawn and it is used every year for the Yarlington Fair.
Yarlington House with its gracious rooms and spacious and interesting grounds also makes an adaptable setting for film locations.
Yarlington House does not have accommodation available in the house itself but there are a number of good hotels available in the area and a wealth of bed and breakfast accommodation nearby. A list is available on request.
